We made it!

After a very long day of late airplanes and rushing through airports, we finally arrived in Quito around 11:00 p.m. We were met at the airport and brought to the B&B apartment by the owner's son, Daniel. Pilar, the owner, is not here, she has gone off to Manta (the beach) for a week long holiday. So Daniel and his wife Maria will be making us breakfasts and answering our questions. Another guest here, Joseph, is an Iranian American and was very helpful over breakfast this morning about places to go and getting around town. So we are off to explore Quito, but slowly and easily, so we can acclimatise to the altitude.
Good for you...hope your first days in Quito are relaxing. I'm going to love reading this and living vicariously through you....and reliving some of my time in Ecuador.
